Race for Research- Come join the fun and raise awareness for childhood cancer

As some of you may know I’m helping organize a fundraiser for childhood cancer.  This is the inaugural year for this even… and the first time this race committee has ever organized an event like this!
If you’re in the Des Moines area, please sign up and run/walk with us!  This is for a great cause, benefitting kids who are diagnosed with neuroblastoma.  You may remember Eli Horn, who lost his battle in January, this race will help find a cure for other kids like Eli.
If you’re not able to sign-up for the race,  please consider passing the race information below along to your family and friends; possibly even posting it on your company’s website for employees to see?  Thank you in advance for any support you can give!  It is GREATLY appreciated.  🙂
Help fight childhood cancer during childhood cancer awareness month!

Please join us on Sunday, September 30th at 2pm for Race for Research – Banding Together to Fight Neuroblastoma.  Your entire family is welcome to join us for this fun walk/run around the DMACC Ankeny Campus pond.  The trail around the path is 1.18 miles, complete as many laps as you’d like.  Strollers and dogs are welcome too!

Door prizes will be given away, plus there will be face painting and other fun stuff for you and your family to see and do!

You can sign-up today at http://register.boprace.com.  Early race packet pick-up will be held at Cafe Diem in Ankeny from 9am until noon on Saturday, September 29th.

 Hope to see you there!

*This race is represented by The Band of Parents organization.  Bound by determination to fight Neuroblasoma.  Will you join the fight against this lethal childhood cancer that affects approximately 700 children in the U.S. every year?  Currently only about 30% of those diagnosed will survive it, but there’s hope and you can help make a difference!  To learn more about Neuroblastoma and The Band of Parents organization, visit bandofparents.org
