‘If you are losing faith in human nature, go out and watch a marathon’

The response on social media today, in the aftermath of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon yesterday, is overwhelming and heartwarming.

Friends, both runners and non-runners, have been checking in with me all day.  Sharing insight into the tragedy, focusing on the strength of runners, the sense of community, and their resilience.  This is another reason why I love the sport.  Here are two of my favorites that were shared with me today, I hope they brighten your spirit, as they did mine.
