“Running along our journey doesn’t only teach us how to keep moving forward through what life throws at us, it also makes us into the best version of ourselves.”
-Ashley Erickson, freelance fitness writer/editor
I don’t know why it is, but I firmly believe this quote rings true. For me, running has taught me how to center myself, balance out what life throws at you and figure out the best way to keep moving forward. Simply put, it gives me clarity.
As I wallowed in self-pity this weekend, the BF told me he sure hopes I am cleared to run again soon because he likes me better when I’m running. And, he didn’t mean this in a negative or derogatory way at all. I agree 100% with him. Running does make me a better version of me.
Today’s PT appointment will be the first test “run” :). Wish me luck!
