“You don’t have to be elite to be a runner. It’s all about setting a target, giving your best effort to achieve it, and being proud of whatever that effort results in.”
-Daniel Pickle, Runners World Challenger
What is there not to love about this quote? I find it motivating for any day! It gets to the core of why I love running. My goal is to never get complacent. To consistently push myself. The beauty of running (and also the irritatingly sense of frustration…) is that you can never predict what will happen on race day. It’s always new. There is always something that could have gone better. Something that could have been tweaked. However, if you push yourself, challenge yourself to experience new levels, to continue to grow and get stronger, you can be proud of what you’ve accomplished. Your effort always results in a magnificent achievement.
